Terms & Conditions

The following terms and conditions will apply to all vehicle movements that have been arranged.


All verbally agreed movements will need to be confirmed by e-mail and where necessary an order number provided.

Vehicle collection, delivery & appraisal

All vehicles moved by We Move It Ltd are subject to an exterior inspection and written damage report which both parties sign before the vehicle departs. Our drivers then request a signature confirming this vehicle condition on delivery. Once the vehicle has been inspected and signed in at the point of handover, We Move It Ltd will have no further liability and cannot be held responsible for any future claims as to its cosmetic condition or road-worthiness.

Vehicle appraisals are based on the opinions of the driver following a visual assessment of the condition of the vehicle and are subject to light and weather conditions at the time of collections. They do not include a road test unless requested in writing at time of booking.

We Move It Ltd have the capacity to carry out MoDel deliveries. If you require a MoDel handover, please ensure that this is requested at time of booking and that the PIN number is provided.

Damage in Transit

Motor trade insurance policies as standard do not cover punctures, glass damage or chips/damage from road debris. Incidents of this nature are deemed to be of no fault of We Move It Ltd as they can occur regardless of the care taken by any driver. If you would like to insure your movement against damage of this nature please inform the office via email at the time of booking. There is a charge of £4.50 +VAT for this service.

Where it is agreed that We Move It Ltd are responsible for the rectification of vehicle damage (other than punctures, glass damage or chips from road debris), an independent estimate for the repair is required and charges supported by a bone fide invoice.

Vehicle Breakdowns

It is the responsibility of the requesting client to ensure that a vehicle is fully roadworthy, with valid MOT, before requesting a driven movement. Where a breakdown occurs through no fault of a We Move It Ltd driver, authorisation will be requested to obtain recovery quotes to a point of your choice. All recovery costs are the responsibility of the client and will be included in addition to your invoice. Waiting time from point of breakdown until the vehicle is moving onward are charged at £7.50 +VAT per 30 minutes, plus (if applicable) costs to re-locate the driver to the original destination point.

Late Arrivals

Our drivers are required to communicate any occasion where they are running behind schedule where time scales have been agreed. Whilst We Move It Ltd plan routings effectively, unforeseen incidents (traffic, accidents, road closures, public transport failures etc…) can cause delays. We Move It Ltd will endeavour at all times to keep the customer/ dealer fully informed of such delays.

Waiting Time

Drivers are allocated 30 minutes to collect or deliver a vehicle at a dealership. Where a customer handover is requested the driver is allocated 60 minutes to allow completion of a vehicle demonstration and any paperwork. Waiting time is charged to the requesting dealership at a rate of £7.50 +VAT per 30-minute wait after the initial 30 minutes. Charges are due to the expense and knock-on effects that delays have to a driver’s scheduled jobs.

Cancellation and Aborted Journeys

Due to the necessity to plan and allocate driver workload in advance, any cancellation after midday the day before or on the day a vehicle movement is scheduled will incur a full aborted movement charge equal to the original value of the quote. Where you are advised that the driver will be pre-booked onto a flight, ferry or train, a full aborted charge will apply for cancellation of the movement at any time after your booking has been confirmed.

Payment of Invoices

Where an account is held with us, We Move It Ltd invoices are due no longer than 14 days after the job has been completed. Where an order number has been requested but not supplied the invoice is still due on the due date. Where no account is held with us, We Move It Ltd will require payment in full before the movement is carried out.
